IPL photo rejuvenation as an alternative treatment to cosmetic surgery

Aside from the huge costs, cosmetic surgeries are hard to endure; they are painful and they require a downtime. IPL offers a legitimate and long-lasting solution. IPL Photo rejuvenation is currently the most effective treatment to restore the skin’s youthful appearance and smooth complexion. It is a quick in-office procedure, with almost zero needs for recovery. You will see great results without undergoing intensive surgery. IPL can also be utilised anywhere on the body, offering great versatility from a single procedure.

IPL photo rejuvenation can deal with a lot of skin issues at once

Despite the name, this procedure can do much more for your skin than rejuvenate it. Here are some common conditions that can be treated with IPL photorejuvenation: rosacea, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, spider veins, wrinkles, broken capillaries, enlarged pores, sun and age spots, melasma, flushing.

IPL photorejuvenation procedure details

During an IPL procedure, intense light from a range of wavelengths is focused on the specific parts of your skin that you are treating. The IPL device itself is gently pressed onto the skin, with a smooth, transparent surface emitting the light on the targeted areas. Your VS MedSpa specialist will start the treatment by applying a cold gel to the desired area. You will be given protective eyewear, as the light is exceptionally bright. The smooth surface of the IPL device is then gently applied to the skin, and short pulses of light are applied. The sensation has been noted to be completely bearable, like a slight sting or snapping of a rubber band against the skin. IPL procedure video here.

You will need more than one treatment

In order to get the desired results, 4-6 treatments spread 4 weeks apart from each other may be required. You will notice a visible improvement from the very first session, but if you truly want your skin to look significantly smoother and younger and/or if you want to get rid of sun spots, you will need more than one session. The exact number of treatments depend on the current condition of your skin; it is advisable to discuss this with your doctor or cosmetologist – they can determine precisely how many session you will need.

You will need to steer clear of the sun after an IPL photorejuvenation treatment

This doesn’t mean that you can’t have it done during summer; it just means that you will have to use an SPF 50 protection cream (which you should be using anyway!) at all times. Plus, IPL photorejuvenation works better on light skin, so it is advisable to start your treatment when your skin is no longer tanned.

How much does IPL photo rejuvenation cost?

Although photo rejuvenation will surely cost more than other procedures like chemical peels and microdermabrasion, it will be far less expensive than laser skin treatment and cosmetic surgery. In most cases it would be safe to think of it as a mid-level procedure—not too cheap, not too expensive. Please see our pricelist.

At the end of the day though, the total cost of your treatment will depend on the severity of the problem and the number of sessions needed to resolve those problems. We encourage you to consider our PHOTOFACIAL – IPL SKIN REJUVENATION, 3 SESSION PACKAGE to enjoy the discount.
